Tumbleweed Composter

The vertical tumbling action of the patented Tumbleweed Compost Bin, designed with a stainless steel rod running through the middle, creates an aerobic action that offers a quick and odorless form of composting. It also has sturdy, galvanized tubular steel legs that won't rust that hold up the composter. The steel in these legs is made with recycled metal (as available). The recycled content varies between 17 and 20 percent.

A daily spin will produce earthy dark brown compost in as few as 21 days. Your specific composting time depends on your mix of materials, moisture of the compost, weather, etc. For the best results, we suggest using 75% dry ingredients (leaves, grass clippings, shredded newspaper) and 25% moist waste (vegetable scraps, dead flowers, etc). The composter will work with any blend of organic materials, but it may take longer to complete the process.

• The composter has two animal-resistant twist lock vented lids at either end that allow for easy filling and emptying of the bin while producing maximum aeration.  
• Constructed of a heavy duty UV-protected polypropylene plastic, the assembled bin stands 46" high, 26" wide, 34" deep.
• It has a 58 gallon capacity (holds 7 to 8 cubic feet, or approximately 6.2 bushels) and weighs just 22 lbs.
